How can we help?
Answers to the questions we get most, plus a direct line to our team if you cannot find what you need.
Getting Started
Accounts, sign-in, and your first five minutes.
You can sign up with email, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. All three work identically once you are in the app.
Signing in with Apple hides your email from us (you get a private relay address). Signing in with Google shares your email. Email signup sends you a confirmation link, so check your inbox, including spam.
Each method is its own account. If you sign up with Google and later sign in with Apple, you get a second, empty account rather than your original shelf.
If your confirmation email has not arrived within 2 minutes, check your spam folder. If it is still missing, sign up again with the same email address. That sends a fresh link and cancels the old one.
Confirmation links expire after 24 hours.
After confirming, you pick a username and, if you want, upload a profile photo. Your username is public and appears next to every log you post.
You can change your username, display name, bio, and photo any time from Settings, then Edit profile.
Your slimes, ratings, follows, and Pro access sync across every device you sign into with the same account. Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google recognize your account automatically. If you signed up with email, enter your email and password.
Forgot your password? Use the Forgot password link on the login page. The reset link lands in your inbox within about a minute.
Logging Slimes
The six axes, photos, edits, and shelf status.
- Tap the plus button in the center of the bottom nav.
- Pick a brand from the list, or suggest a new one if it is not there yet.
- Enter the slime's name and, if you know it, its base type and variant.
- Rate it across the six axes: Texture, Sound, Aesthetic, Creativity, Quality, and Overall.
- Add a photo if you have one, then save the log.
Logging is unlimited and free. You do not need Pro to rate, collect, or follow anyone.
The full breakdown, with what a 1 and a 10 actually look like on each axis, lives on the How to Rate a Slime page. The quick version:
- Texture: how it feels while stretching, poking, or kneading.
- Sound: the noise it makes (clicks, snaps, crunches, squishes).
- Aesthetic: how it looks in the tub and in motion.
- Creativity: how unique the base, mix-ins, or scent theme are.
- Quality: how well made it is (freshness, mixing, activator balance).
- Overall: your gut feeling after the other five.
Open any slime you have logged and tap Edit. You can change the brand, name, type, ratings, notes, and photos.
Delete lives at the bottom of the same screen and asks you to confirm. Deleting is permanent. The log, its ratings, and its photos cannot be recovered.
Every slime can have a main photo, plus more photos over time as the slime ages, so you can see how a tub changes across months.
Photos are optional and capped at 5MB each. Photos on public logs are visible to the community and are subject to moderation.
Every log carries a shelf status so you can tell what is actually in rotation:
- On my shelf: the default, and the only status that gets care and activator reminders.
- Listed for sale: for slimes you plan to pass on. This is what the future marketplace will read from.
- Archived: used up, given away, or gone. It stays in your history without cluttering your shelf.
Tap Edit on the log and change the brand or name field. If you accidentally created a brand that duplicates one already in the catalog, email us and we will merge them so the ratings stay together.
Brands & Following
Following shops, suggesting new ones, drop alerts.
Search for the brand from Brands or Discover, open their page, then tap Follow. Their drops and the community's logs of their slimes start showing up for you.
If the brand you want to log does not exist yet, the brand picker in the log flow offers to add it. You can also go straight to the brand suggestion form.
Give us the brand name and their website or Instagram. Suggestions are reviewed within 24 hours, and the log you were in the middle of is waiting for you when you come back.
Follow a brand and you get a notification when one of their drops goes live. Notifications collect under the bell in the header.
You can see everything a brand has scheduled on the Drops page, whether or not you follow them.
Open the brand's page and tap Following to unfollow. Their drops stop appearing for you. Nothing you logged is affected.
The SlimeLog Guide
Community-authored reference for the whole craft.
A community reference covering base textures (butter, cloud, floam, glossy, jelly, and more), add-ins, scents, containers, care and storage, safety, pricing, sound vocabulary, and recipes.
It is written by slime makers and collectors, updated as the community learns new techniques, and free to read whether or not you have an account.
SlimeLog Pro includes the How to Rate a Slime guide as a downloadable PDF, so you can keep the six axes and their scoring bands next to you while you rate offline.
The Guide itself stays free to read in the app for everyone.
The Guide is community-authored, but contributions are moderated rather than open-edit, so nothing lands without a human read.
If you have a correction, a technique to add, or vocabulary we are missing, email us with the section you want to update. We batch-review contributions weekly.
Discover, Feed & Community
Where new slimes and new people come from.
Discover
Discover is the front page of SlimeLog. You will find:
- Trending brands and slimes across the community
- Top-rated slimes on every axis
- Collectors worth following
- Upcoming drops from brands with restock schedules
Your feed
The home tab has two views. For you shows what the wider community is logging. Following shows logs from the people you follow. Switch between them at the top of the tab.
Following is empty until you follow someone, so if it looks bare, start from Discover.
Your shelf
My Shelf holds everything you have logged. From there you can also open Timeline (your logs in order), Galaxy (your shelf as a constellation), and the community Leaderboard.
SlimeLog Pro
What it includes, what it costs, how to manage it.
- Personalized activator and care reminders for every slime on your shelf
- Custom care plans per slime, with the upkeep routine that keeps a tub alive longer
- Private logs (logs are public by default, Pro lets you keep individual ones to yourself)
- The How to Rate a Slime guide as a downloadable PDF
Everything else stays free: unlimited logging, all six rating axes, your shelf and wishlist, following collectors and brands, and drop notifications.
- Monthly: $4.99 per month, currently $2.99 for your first 6 months.
- Annual: $29.99 per year, currently $19.99 for your first year.
Those are the prices for subscriptions bought on the web in US dollars. If you subscribe inside the iOS app, Apple bills you at the price shown to you on the purchase screen before you confirm, in your own currency.
Introductory pricing applies to new subscribers only.
Cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep Pro until then, and nothing you logged is deleted when Pro ends.
- On iPhone or iPad: the Settings app on your device, then your Apple Account, then Subscriptions, then SlimeLog Pro.
- On the web: sign in at slimelog.com and open Settings, then Subscription.
Apple handles every refund for subscriptions bought inside the iOS app. Request one through Apple's Report a Problem page, within Apple's refund window. We cannot process those refunds for you, and we cannot see your Apple payment details.
For subscriptions bought on the web through Stripe, email us within 14 days of the charge and we will review it case by case.
If you reinstalled the app or switched devices and your Pro access is missing, open Settings, then Subscription, and tap Restore purchases. That re-reads your entitlement from Apple's records.
Make sure you are signed into the same Apple Account that bought the subscription, and the same SlimeLog account.
Yes. Pro follows your SlimeLog account, not the device. A subscription started on the web is active in the iOS app, and one started on iOS is active on the web, as long as you sign into the same account.
Because of that, do not buy Pro twice. Two subscriptions on two stores bill you twice for the same thing, and we cannot refund the Apple side for you.
Privacy & Data
What we hold, how to export it, how to delete it.
What we collect
Your email address, your username and profile, the slimes you log with their ratings, notes, and photos, the brands and people you follow, and analytics about how the app gets used. We do not sell your data.
What we do not collect
Your contacts, your location, your microphone, or your camera roll. The only photos we ever receive are the ones you explicitly pick and upload.
Exporting your data
You can download everything tied to your account at any time. Go to Settings, then the Privacy & Data section, then Export my data. You get a JSON file with your profile, logs, ratings, follows, and comments.
Deleting your account
Settings, then Privacy & Data, then Delete account. This is permanent. Your logs, ratings, photos, follows, and comments are removed.
Anonymized aggregates, like a brand's average rating, may persist because they no longer identify you.
Marketing emails
Off by default. Turn them on in Settings if you want occasional email about new features and drops. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and transactional email (password resets, confirmations) is separate.
Safety & Moderation
Reporting, review timelines, and the ground rules.
Reporting a log or a comment
Every public log and every comment carries a Report control (the small flag). Tap it, pick a reason, and add detail if it helps. Reasons include inappropriate content, spam, harassment or bullying, hate speech, copyright violation, misinformation, and concerns about an underage user.
Reports go straight to our moderation queue. We review them within 24 hours.
Reporting a person
If someone's behavior is the problem rather than one specific post, open their profile, tap the three-dot menu, and tap Report. Pick the reason that fits and add detail if it helps.
Person-level reports go to the same moderation queue on the same 24 hour review timeline, and we will tell you when we have acted. If you would rather write to us directly, email us with their username and links to what you are reporting.
Blocking a user
Open their profile, tap the three-dot menu, and tap Block. Blocked users can't see your logs, follow you, or comment on your content, and you won't see theirs either. They are not notified about the block.
Blocking also removes the follow between you, in both directions. Unblocking does not restore it, so you would need to follow again.
Everyone you have blocked is listed under Settings, Privacy and Data, Blocked users. You can unblock from there at any time.
Community guidelines
- Be kind. Real people make these slimes and real people log them.
- Rate honestly. A low score given in good faith is fine, a pile-on is not.
- Do not use SlimeLog to sell your own slime unless you have claimed and verified your brand page.
- Post photos of slime. Not of people, not of anything else.
- Do not use AI-generated images or AI-written reviews.
- No harassment, no hate speech, no spam.
Usernames, slime names, notes, comments, and brand suggestions all run through automated moderation before they go live, and a human reviews anything reported. Repeat violations end in suspension.
Age requirements
You must be at least 13 to use SlimeLog. If you are between 13 and 17, we ask for a parent or guardian to consent before your account is fully active. Some features are 18 and over.
Brand Owners
Claiming your page and what verification unlocks.
Claiming your brand page
If you run a slime shop, open your brand's page and tap Claim this brand. Verification is free and always will be.
- A business email on your brand's own domain. We send a 6-digit code to it, and entering the code proves you control that inbox. Gmail and Yahoo addresses cannot verify ownership.
- One piece of business documentation: business registration, EIN letter, trademark filing, or a DBA certificate.
- Your full legal name and your role at the brand.
How long review takes
Our team reviews claims within 3 to 5 business days. If we cannot verify a claim we email you the reason, and you are welcome to resubmit. If two people claim the same brand, we review both and investigate any dispute, so email us if you think the wrong person was approved.
Documents you upload are stored securely, are visible only to SlimeLog reviewers, and are never shared with third parties.
What verification unlocks
- The verified badge on your brand page
- The brand dashboard, with aggregate ratings across your catalog
- Editing your brand imagery, bio, and links
- Creating and managing drops
Brand Pro
Brand Pro is a separate optional upgrade on top of free verification, covering deeper analytics, CSV export, and recurring drop management. If you want early access, email our partnerships address with your brand name and your site or Instagram.
Troubleshooting
The things that actually go wrong, in order.
- Check that you are using the same method you signed up with. Email, Apple, and Google each create a separate account, so signing in the other way looks like an empty shelf rather than an error.
- If you signed up with email, use Forgot password on the login page. The reset link arrives within about a minute.
- If you are seeing a session or expired error, close the app fully, wait 30 seconds, and reopen it.
- Still stuck? Email us with the address you signed up with and what you have already tried.
Check spam first, then give it 5 minutes, because delivery can lag. If it still has not landed, sign up again with the same address. That issues a new link and voids the old one.
If nothing arrives after all of that, your email provider may be filtering us. Email us from a different address and we will sort it out.
Use the suggest option in the brand picker during the log flow, or go to the brand suggestion form directly. Suggestions are reviewed within 24 hours. If it is urgent, email us the brand name plus their website or Instagram.
Close the app completely and reopen it. If it keeps crashing, check the App Store for a newer version.
If a fresh version does not fix it, email us with your device model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened. That trio is usually enough for us to reproduce it.
This is almost always a sync delay. Wait 30 seconds, force-close the app, and reopen it. Your Pro badge should appear.
If it does not, open Settings, then Subscription, and tap Restore purchases. If Pro still has not turned on after that, email us with a screenshot of the Apple charge confirmation and we will verify it by hand.
Slime data is community-contributed, so mistakes happen. If it is your log, open it and tap Edit to fix the name, brand, or base type.
If it is someone else's log, use the Report control and pick Misinformation, or Other with a note about what is wrong. A moderator will review it.
Still need help?
Email us and a person reads it. We reply within 24 hours, usually sooner.
