I have kept that love of lighthouses with me and now I go to every lighthouse I can. I was engaged at Castle Hill Lighthouse in Newport, Rhode Island, married at Stonington Lighthouse in Stonington, Connecticut, and we spread my grandmother’s ashes at Nubble Lighthouse in York, Maine because it was her favorite lighthouse and where we spent every summer. In the background I have my lighthouse passport that I get stamped at all the lighthouses that are part of the United States Lighthouse Society. I also have two of my favorite lighthouse models, Stonington Lighthouse and Nubble Lighthouse, which normally live in the lighthouse room in my house where I keep all my lighthouse prints and artwork. I really do have quite the obsession. There is just something about that “light in the darkness guiding you home” feeling that soothes my heart. This slime name was announced on May 6th, 27 days ago, and I immediately asked if it was a lighthouse slime. So I have been waiting on this one for 27 long days, and when it arrived last night I was beyond excited. Fair warning, this is not going to be a normal review because you might say I am a little biased. Honestly there is nothing about this slime that could not be perfect, and I really should have bought like 10 of them. The mochi base is clear glue with a special clay, non tacky. The superfine sand crust gives that real little-beach-in-a-jar moment, and the chunky glitter topper, fimos, and mini shells feel like walking the shoreline. The mini lighthouse charm is the perfect finishing touch. The scent is a musky sea weed, ozone, and salty sea breezes all blended together. The description is SPOT on. It really does smell like a luxury beach candle. The color, the label, the scent, the assembly. All of it. Perfection. Some slimes feel like they were made just for you.
