Name: Something Separates Me Slimer: @eastbayslimes Texture: lustrous lacquer Scent: Abandoned, Oceanside carnival grounds, Briney dark waters, seaweed, clinging to damp rusted rides, ghostly vapor, caramel corn, cotton, candy, funnel cake, and buttery popcorn Good afternoon friends! We are diving into Something Separates Me by East Bay Slimes, which features their Lustrous Lacquer texture and is scented like abandoned oceanside carnival grounds, briny dark waters, seaweed clinging to damp rusted rides, ghostly vapor, caramel corn, cotton candy, funnel cake, and buttered popcorn. East Bay Slimes is always incredibly creative, and every slime feels like a little piece of art. I really loved the bold teal color and the contrast created by the black and white accents. Mixing everything together was super satisfying to watch. The base is very glossy and feels silky in your hands. It isn’t sticky or tacky, and despite the bold pigmentation, there was no color transfer. I did have a little bit of the foil paper stick to both my surface and the slime container, but it eventually came off and didn’t leave any permanent staining. The Lustrous Lacquer texture reminds me of a glossy slime with a slight slay feel. It’s smooth, silky, a little shloopy, and produces incredibly satisfying bubble pops and big inflated bubbles. The scent profile is very complex. I pick up more of the atmospheric notes than the food notes. When I imagine abandoned oceanside carnival grounds, this is exactly what I think they would smell like. It perfectly captures the vibe, even though I can’t quite identify each individual scent note. Fun fact: for a couple of years during my teenage years, this bright teal shade was my go-to eyeliner color! 💙🎡🌊 #slime #slimereview #classichorror #toxiccityslimer #eastbayslimes
