๐ takoyaki by @potchaslimes ๐ texture: milky clear jumbo foam x toppers ๐ scent: black sesame caramel bread Takoyaki I've had stateside is so disappointing. It's always dense and super oily. While I didn't get to try it in its birthplace of Osaka, I did manage to grab some from Tako to Highball at Nishiki market in Kyoto. It was like 8 huge pieces of 4 different kinds and I could not finish, but it was really good. Even the one that literally exploded in my mouth with so much mayonnaise tinged with lemon and I almost gagged because I was not expecting it wasn't that bad (I hate mayonnaise). I'll never get it stateside again, that's for sure ๐คฃ ๐ฅข I tried to drizzle the sauce toppers to make it look like how they usually garnish takoyaki, but it just ended up looking like a lot of mayo ๐ญ love that Gazel included shavings that looked like bonito flakes. The label is adorable! ๐ฅข I did add activator about 30 seconds in. This is a very glossy, stretchy, bubbly base that held all the foam with zero fallout. I personally did not find the jumbo pieces to be in the way. ๐ฅข I could have sworn when I bought it the scent was caramel popcorn, but Gazel's post says black sesame caramel bread. It's not really heavy on sesame and ends up smelling more like caramel popcorn to me anyway lol. Light strength.
