I grabbed it, then rushed to order the rest, not realizing that meant waiting until August for all of them. But when I tell you this was worth the wait.. THIS WAS WORTH THE WAIT! “Don’t wanna be an American idiot. Don’t want a nation under the new media.” Green Day’s 2004 protest track went after media manipulation, consumerism and fear, and twenty two years later people are still screaming it word for word. I think we all know why. Fun fact: American Idiot only exists because the master tapes for the album before it were stolen in 2003, so the band started over from nothing. Slime Retriever wanted an anti-government song in the restock because punk rock has always been the center of their world, and picked the classic everyone knows as a massive Green Day fan. The topper comes off the album cover, reds and blacks with heart sprinkles, on a neutral base so the glitters pop like art on a blank slate. The crunch was going to be lava rocks until those got used in another slime, so pebbles, which are also rocks, because.. punk ROCK. I got it today and have not put it down since, carrying my inflation container around the house. This might be my favorite wood glue ever. Giant pebbles for deep crunch under the drag, glossy clear mixing through, fimo and glitter music notes. The scent is purely how punk rock feels to them, comforting like a chocolate chip cookie and a flannel over a band shirt, and it hit me like a scent bomb. Cookies, vanilla, coffee, sugar, leather, perfection. If you do not have this slime, you need it.
