π choco pie taiyaki by @lime_slimes.co π€ texture: π wood glue slay with java chips scent: π€ choco pie (chocolate marshmallows) add-ins: taiyaki charm, brown heart fimos, block beads (on the side) Have you ever had a Choco Pie Taiyaki?? They are AMAZING and if you have not tried one, you should! Picture a soft little fish-shaped waffle cake filled with chocolate and pillowy marshmallow cream, like a Korean Choco Pie hugged inside a warm Japanese pastry. They are usually grabbed as street food in Japan. π Did you know? Taiyaki literally means βbaked sea breamβ in Japanese (tai = sea bream, yaki = grilled), and the fish shape was chosen because sea bream is considered a lucky symbol of celebration in Japanese culture. When this one arrived I literally could not wait, I started playing with it right away and totally forgot to record. That is how good it is. The wood glue slay is the absolute star, that texture is everything to me. Just a perfect amount of java chips folded through, not too many, just enough to add interest and the most amazing airflow for those big satisfying pops. I know java chips are polarizing but they have grown on me. The scent is so good in such a simple, classic way. Real chocolate shop vibes, like walking past a chocolatier. Not overly sweet, not artificial, just rich and warm and exactly what a chocolate marshmallow pie should smell like. The simplicity is a flex. Special shoutout to Lime for putting the block beads in a separate bag on the side. I have medium tofu hands and block beads can sometimes be a no for me, so I really appreciated being able to choose. I am saving mine in case I ever change my mind. OVERALL: 11/10 Have YOU tried this one (or had a real choco pie taiyaki)? Drop your thoughts below! ππ€
